Robert Beard has over ten years of experience in PC and Mac consulting. He has worked with Windows desktop and server operating systems from Windows 3.11 to Windows Server 2003. He has installed and used Linux for more than five years. His Mac OS experience stretches from System 7 to OS-X Leopard.

Robert is an experienced network technician who has installed, maintained and fixed both wired and wireless networks since the days of Token-Ring. He is familiar with Cisco, Linksys, Netgear and D-Link routers and bridges. He has lots of experience installing, extending and securing wireless networks.

Robert is an experienced PC builder, who built his first AT-compatible PC in 1989. He understands and can recommend the most effective hardware upgrades, but will tell you when replacement is the best option. He is adept at troubleshooting PC problems and possesses the tools to perform board-level diagnostics. He knows how to gently disassemble laptops to perform upgrades and repairs.

Robert has also been working with web pages for a long time. His first website was an internal site for a major bank which ran on OS/2. Subsequent websites have used .ASP to work with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle back-end databases, and to build shopping carts. Currently, Robert develops web pages on a variety of tools which include Microsoft FrontPage and Adobe DreamWeaver, (and Notepad).

Robert is also an experienced contract technical trainer who teaches the use of Genesys Labs Customer Interaction Management (CIM) software in call centers.

Robert teaches Genesys University classes, whose topics include the installation, configuration and operation of Genesys Framework, Routing and Reporting applications. He teaches the fundamentals of voice and non-voice interaction routing and solution reporting. He also teaches the use of Genesys Platform and Interaction SDKs, which are used to build custom applications and to integrate third party applications with Genesys solutions.

Currently, Robert splits his time between conducting classes at Genesys' headquarters in Daly City, California and on-site at customer's facilities.
